On the 1st March 2014 a dedication ceremony was held for the Eastern Goldfields Miners Memorial to commemorate its opening. It was held in front of the memorial at the West Australian Museum Kalgoorlie-Boulder. Present at the ceremony were the following relatives of Leslie Cox:-
Christina and Bruce Buggins, Margaret Cox (wife of the late Roger Cox), Wayne Kerry and Donna Cox, Lesley and Pat Harrison and Rochelle. Relatives at this inaugural ceremony were asked if they would like to include a memento for their relative in a time capsule to be placed inside the memorial and to be opened in 50 yrs. Below you will see the message the family included along with the following photographs of Leslie and his family.
