Diagnosis or cause of accident
Keith Hugh Seinor was a married bogger operator who lived at Somerville, a suburb of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. He was 38 years old. On 22 June 1954, he was working alone on the 1,900ft. level of the Ivanhoe shaft at the Lake View and Star mine when he was trapped in a fall of earth. Mr. Seinor was working a mechanical bogger alone on the level and it is believed that the accident occurred shortly after crib time (12 o’clock). Because he was working alone, the accident was not discovered until 3.15 o'clock that afternoon. Once he was brought to the surface, Dr. Sandover was able to attend to him. The mines ambulance then rushed him to the Kalgoorlie District Hospital, where he died about 5 p.m. He was buried at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Cemetery.
