A cage containing seven men was being hauled from the 3000 ft. level, and after it had been raised 400 ft., an eccentric rod on the winding engine broke, and the cage fell to the bottom of the shaft. Six men were killed: John NOLAN, Leslie KNOX, Charles OSMETTI, John PERICH, Stjepan ILICH and Joe BULJAN.

NOLAN.— The friends of Mrs. Norah Nolan, of 147 Dwyer-street, Boulder,. are respectfully informed that the remains of her late beloved husband, John (brother of Mr. James Nolan, Fremantle), will be removed from All Hallows Church, Boulder, at 2.30 o'clock this day {Thursday), for interment in the Catholic portion of the Boulder Cemetery. — Mannion and Cruse, Undertakers, Hannan-street.
