Duncan McFayden, miner, married, whilst working his first shift on the Bullfrog lease about midnight on Wednesday, fell from a ladder about 14 feet and fractured his spine. He was removed to Dr Edwards's surgery where he expired about 12 o'clock last night.

The late Duncan McFadyen was a well-known Norseman identity. He was secretary of the Miners' Union and hospital committee and was highly respected. He was a pioneer prospector of the Norseman, and leaves a widow and young family to mourn their loss. McFadyen had been very unfortunate of late and was in the hospital at Norseman for quite a long time with an injured hand.
