Other Information
The newspaper report states that McDonald was the fourth member of his family to die in a mining accident. In 1929, his half-brother Alfred Lindsay Gordon Flynn died at the Ivanhoe Mine, and it seems that his father, Ronald McDonald, died in Broken Hill, NSW, in 1900, and his step-father, Thomas Michael Flynn died in 1917 at Boulder. The latter is buried in the Kalgoorlie Cemetery but I haven't found an accident report yet in the Mines Dept Annual Report nor in Trove.
