Diagnosis or cause of accident
A serious accident occurred at the Great Fingall mine about 10 o'clock Sunday night [28 July], which resulted in severe injuries to an Italian named A. Zanandrini. It appears that an ore pass was blocked, and while Zanandrini was engaged in clearing it, a quantity of rock fell on him, severely crushing his left leg, and causing severe flesh wound on the right leg. The injured man was conveyed to the hospital and although his condition was at first regarded as serious, he is now improving.
