Diagnosis or cause of accident
McPherson, employed by a contractor in shovelling at the big dump on the surface of the Lake View Consols, met with a serious accident on 22 June. Without warning, a fall of earth occurred, and before McPherson could escape, he was buried beneath it. His back was broken and he died four days later.
