Diagnosis or cause of accident
The belting at the battery was blown off by a willy willy, and Mr. Gore, after it had been put on again, was at the engine giving the fly wheel a start. For this purpose, it is believed, he put his foot on one of the spokes, and it is surmised that when the wheel started suddenly, his foot slipped through and was caught in the wheel. He was whirled round several times, and badly injured by being bumped on the ground each time. He died in Nannine Hospital.
